The course of study also provides in-service tutoring to support courses selected as a priority from the basic and characteristic courses offered during the first years of the course. Support from qualified tutors is available to selected groups of students who have learning difficulties.
Tutors are identified through a selective procedure established with a Call for Selection following the measures to support tutoring provided by the Law of 11 July 2003 n. 170. Altogether 120 Tutors are made available, in part (60) selected from students of the PhD Programs, in part (60) from the most brilliant students of the master’s degree courses incardinated in the Departments of the School. Thanks to in-service tutoring, the Tutors meet groups of students on a cyclical basis, not exceeding 25 units, Monitoring the learning status of the subjects taught during these meetings and providing support to students by maintaining close coordination with the teaching staff.
Support services, mainly aimed at students in the 1st and 2nd year of the Master’s Degree, are also provided by SINAPSI University Center, in order to reduce the phenomenon of dropout.
Starting from a.y. 2023/2024, to provide a constant and immediate reference during the studies, the CdS has activated an additional service of on-the-go tutoring, assigning each student a tutor teacher of reference. This initiative aims to give students a constant and immediate reference to turn to for any doubts or difficulties that arise while studying.
